The H.U.B of Hope Ministry is an inter-faith community ministry with the mission to provide holistic education about HIV/AIDS to individuals in faith communities through interfaith forums sponsored by the ministry in collaboration with persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, health professionals, and HIV community providers. Due to the disproportionate affect of the virus on African-American and Latino communities, focused initiatives with African-American and Latino faith communities and organizations are emphasized. The ministry also provides faith-based support to persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

The H.U.B. (Helping Us Be) of Hope HIV/AIDS Ministry is a social justice, reconciliation ministry. While HIV is a health issue, the impact of living with the virus invades all areas of a person’s life. The social justice side-effects of HIV/AIDS that further weaken a person’s quality of life include isolation, stigma, and discrimination. As a faith community embracing a ministry of reconciliation, the H.U.B. of Hope HIV/AIDS Ministry’s purpose is to inform, equip, and mobilize diverse faith communities to respond with compassion and justice as servants in relationship with those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Participants in summits and studies complete evaluations that are reviewed by the Advisory Council to assist in on-going development of the ministry.
